German-Danish Company Mission “Meet Nano-Berlin 2007”

The German-Danish Company Mission “Meet Nano-Berlin 2007” will take place at the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin on 8 and 9 November 2007.
This event is organised by IRC Northern Germany, IRC Denmark and the Royal Danish Embassy.

Innovative nanotechnology companies and research organisations from Denmark will be invited to come to Berlin to participate in the “Meet Nano-Berlin 2007”. The main goal of the German-Danish event is to create contacts between Danish and German universities, research institutes and SMEs in order to foster technical co-operation in the sector of nanotechnology for applications in the fields of life science, optoelectronics and materials.

This mission is an ideal platform to:
- Meet partners from Germany and Denmark.
- Learn about the nanotechnological landscape in Germany and more specifically in the region Berlin-Brandenburg.
- Get informed about the latest technological trends and research activities.
- Grow strategic networking opportunities, R&D collaboration and strong future partnerships.
- Initiate technical co-operation and technology transfer.

On 8 November the morning session will consist of a seminar at the Royal Danish Embassy. Important German players of the region Berlin-Brandenburg will give an overview of the German nanotechnology sector and make short presentations on their institutes and activities.
In the afternoon, German and Danish organisations will have the possibility to meet potential partners during one-on-one pre-arranged appointments. To attend these meetings, participants will be asked to pre-select business or research partners prior to the event. For this purpose each participant will be requested to compile technology profiles online.

On 9 November Danish organisations will have the option to ask for one-on-one visits in German companies or research institutions. This service will be organised individually by the Royal Danish Embassy.
