The Internet has become central to the global economic system and the platforms, channels and media. It is estimated that online retail will grow from €68 billion in 2009 to €114 billion by 2014. However, the rise of e-commerce in the EU continues to be stifled by a range of cultural, geographical and political dimensions. This requires action in the short-term if long-term benefits are to be realised - subjects which will be discussed during the 2nd Anual European E-Commerce Conference.
The conference will focus on the most pertinent issues for the e-Commerce industry including consumer trust, e-payment solutions, the logistics behind e-business, multi-channel sales, digital content and m-commerce. Key speakers will comprise representatives from the European Commission, EU Parliament, innovative European e-commerce players and providers to the e-Commerce sector.
The conference is hosted by The European Digital Media Association (EDiMA) and The European E-Commerce and Mail Order Trade Association (EMOTA). It is organised by Forum Europe.
