Technology Offer: Micro cantilevers for sensor applications

Abstract:
An Italian research centre has synthesised suspended micro/nano-structures (cantilever, bridges) having great potentiality in the field of chemical and biological sensing. The use of a cantilever system results in larger sensitivity, opening a wide range of applications in genome analysis and molecular diagnostics. Sensitivity of the order of pico or few femto-grams is fairly achievable. The group is looking for a company interested in product development and customisation.
